This is Alice Paul Institute

Alice Paul gave her life to the cause!

I want to tell you about this important organization called the Alice Paul Institute inspired by the lifelong efforts of Alice Paul. A hundred years ago, Alice Paul  proposed the amendment that has been approved by 38 states.  The Alice Paul Institute  has a really special purpose. They  educate and empower girls and young women to become leaders. They also encourage young women to get involved in their communities and stand up for equal rights for everyone. The ERA is a law that, when it becomes a part of the U.S. Constitution, will give equal protection to all people, no matter what their gender is. It means that everyone should be treated fairly and equally. The Alice Paul Institute believes that it’s really important for us to understand history and where we come from. They use the stories of people who fought for equal rights in the past to inspire us and help us become leaders for the future.

The Alice Paul Institute says that no group should fight for freedom if it leaves others behind.  They want to make sure that everyone’s voices are heard and that we work together to make things better for everyone.

You can find out more about the Alice Paul Institute on their website, www.AlicePaul.org. They also have another website, www.equalrightsamendment.org, where you can find lots of information and free downloadable items to support the fight for the Equal Rights Amendment. They want to make it easy for people to get involved and make a difference. They even have designs for postcards, posters, stickers, and buttons that you can use to spread the word about equal rights.

So, the Alice Paul Institute is an organization that  empowers girls and young women to be leaders, fight for equal rights, and make sure everyone is treated fairly. They teach us about history and the struggles people faced, and they want us to use that knowledge to create a better future for everyone.
