This ERA Action and Generation Ratify

The younger generation is continuing the fight

Hey, I have some exciting news to share with you! This is about the ERA Centennial Convention, and it’s a big celebration of the efforts made over 100 years to ensure women get equal rights.

The convention is organized by Generation Ratify, Equal Rights Action, and Columbia Law School’s ERA Project.

At this convention, which will take place on July 21-22 in Seneca Falls, New York, they will bring together people of different ages to talk about equal rights and how we can make a difference. Seneca Falls is a special place because it’s where the National Woman’s Party first introduced the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) 100 years ago. We’ll even be at the exact spot where Alice Paul, an important leader, gave her speech!

The convention is all about inspiring the next generation of activists, like you, to get involved and make history. They want to gather young people from all 50 states to attend and build a network of advocates for equal rights across the country. They will also create a plan to push for the ERA to become a part of the Constitution and for more states to pass their own laws protecting equal rights.

During the convention, there will be discussions, activities, and planning sessions. They will look at the past and learn from it so that we can make better choices for the future. At the end of the convention, they will take a special photograph to remember this important moment.

So, the ERA Centennial Convention is a big gathering of people who care about equal rights. They want to inspire the next generation of activists and work together to make sure everyone is treated equally. It’s a chance for young people  to be a part of history and help create a better future.
