Say Goodbye to Summer Hike Sunday, Septebmer 8, 2024 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM with Coffee To Follow at Little Bear
This will be a somewhat more strenuous hike than those at the nature centers we’ve walked this spring, so wear sturdy shoes and bring water (If you’re concerned about the hike’s difficulty, you can always turn around if you get tired or if you can only stay for a shorter period of time). Well behaved dogs are welcome on this hike!!!! (Yaaaay!!) Bring a leash, but once we get a bit away from the trailhead you can let them off leash. Please remember to carry extra water for your dog.
Coffee afterwards at Little Bear, at 2632 Pennsylvania St NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110
Location- We’ll meet at the Copper/U Mound Loop Trailhead. It’s easy to find- it’s at the end of Copper Ave NE and if you type U Mound Loop Trailhead into Google Maps it will take you there. Directions from ABQ- Drive East on I-40 to the Tramway Blvd. Exit (aka Hwy 556). Take the exit and turn left on Tramway Blvd. headed North. At the second light you’ll be at the intersection of Tramway and Copper Ave NE. Turn right (East) at the light and continue all the way to the end of Copper (past Turner Dr NE). When you reach Supper Rock Rd start looking for parking on the side of the road. This trail is popular so expect to have to look for parking a bit, but it’s free. We’ll meet at the end of Copper Dr NE at the trailhead. I’ll wear red and will be accompanied by my dog Henry, who is white(ish) and about 25-30 lbs. If you get lost or are running late, call- 775-376-4381.

Is calling a Queer Woman a Lesbian a good idea? Be careful how you answer this! The answers can be very controversial! Not saying there is some overlap, but Queer Women and Lesbians seem to be worlds apart these days.
Generally, the Lesbians label is used by older women in more traditional, monogamous relationships. Younger women identify with the Queer because it isn’t just women who love women.
