Who We Are

I created a Meetup  group in Albuquerque for queer women to come together and have fun while making friends. We needed a safe space for our community since the lesbian coffee shops and bars are no longer around. And we went further and promoted healthy relationships and personal growth. We brought in experts to talk about topics like toxic relationships, flirting, and getting healthier in the lesbian+ queer women community. Our group started growing rapidly, but we faced limitations with the Meetup platform we used. It was difficult to use. We also thought about lesbian+ and queer women in other places like Tulsa and Kalamazoo who might not have as many events available to them as those in LA or Brooklyn.

If you are wondering why I started LesbianEarth.com, it was because when I went to Google and typed in “Lesbian” this is what I got:

•          Lesbian dating programs (programs costing hundreds or even thousands of dollars)
•          Gay information (which was really for gay males, not lesbians)
•          Porn sites. 

LesbianEarth is a community where lesbians+ and queer women can come together online. We noticed that there weren’t many places for us to connect and make new friends or find romance without paying lots and lots of money. Hey dating sites like Match what don’t you understand that  “lesbians” date women? So we created this community to uplift and support each other, have fun, and grow together. We want to understand what makes a great online community for lesbians+ and queer women, and we invite you to join us.
